Vitalis Hackathon 2026

Welcome to the Vitalis Hackathon 2026 - a health data hackathon organized by HL7 Sweden, held at the Vitalis venue, R17 in Gothenburg, Sweden on May 8, 2026.

This hackathon is part of the Nordic Health Data Hackathons series.

Tracks

The hackathon includes three tracks:

  1. Agentic Patient Access - Led by Jens Villadsen
  2. Terminology - Led by Vadim Peretokin
  3. Comparing National and EU FHIR Base Profiles - Led by Mikael Rinnetmaki

Schedule

9:00 - 9:30 Welcome and track introductions
9:30 - 12:00 Hacking (with bonus sessions, see below)
12:00 - 13:00 Working lunch (hacking continues)
13:00 - 14:00 Hacking
14:00 - 15:00 Track presentations and wrap-up

Bonus sessions running in parallel with hacking from 9:30 (15 minutes each):

Preparation

Two preparatory meetings were held before the hackathon:

  • Webinar 1 - April 15, 9-10am: General introduction, track overview, and homework - Join meeting - Recording

Getting There

The hackathon was held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre (Svenska Mässan), room R17 on Level 2, located at Mässans gata, Gothenburg. See the Vitalis venue map (PDF) for details.

Entrance 5 is closed, so enter via the Upper House Entrance further down Mässans gata, head up the stairs you see, then turn right and walk down the hallway to R17.
